Sandra Cecelia Ochab (nee Gacke), age 71, of Darlington, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at her home. She was born March 4, 1940, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edward and Clara (Michalski) Gacke. Sandra grew up in Chicago before moving to Des Plaines, Illinois, following her marriage to Gregory F. Ochab on April 11, 1959, where they raised their family. Sandra worked in the community and taught dance in Des Plaines and Mount Prospect for a number of years. Upon their retirement, Sandra and Greg moved to rural Argyle. In 2007, she moved to Darlington, where she had resided since.
Sandra is survived by one daughter: Marianne (Dave) Goerger of rural Argyle; five sons: Robert Ochab of Moline, IL, Gregory (Lois) Ochab of West Chicago, IL, David (Natalie) Ochab of Glenview, IL, Shaun (Deneen) Ochab of Cary, IL, and Adam Ochab of Livingston, WI; 16 grandchildren; one brother: Leonard (Ellen) Gacke of Southern California; and one sister: Alice Tedeschi of Southern California. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gregory on December 4, 2000; her brother Ed, and sister Lila.
She will be missed.
A memorial service will be announced to family and friends.
